What it Does

Whenever I get random information tossed my way, I need a way to get it written down fast. When I invoke scribble, it opens a Word file (c:\documents\scribbles.doc), adds a new line with a date and time stamp, and is ready for me to type. I don't have to think about where to store the information, and since scribble.doc is almost always open, my Psion is ready to accept input moments after I invoke the macro. It's great for when I'm playing my voice mail or taking pages and phone calls, but I find I'm also using it more and more in meetings and casual conversations.

Once you have your scribbles safely entered, you'll want ways to organize them. Check out gather, archive, and new to do for cool ways to manipulate scribbles.

What You Need

• An EPOC device.
• Macro5 by Pascal Nicolas.
• The scribble package. It contains this documentation, the source (scribble.opl) and object (scribble.opo) files.
• Stuffit Expander to expand the package.

What You Do

• Place scribble.opo in your macros directory.
• Assign a hotkey to it using Macro5.
